Kids Creek Children's Clinic has been serving the families of the Grand Traverse region since 1961. Though the faces have changed over the years, our mission has remained the same. Simply put, we care for our community's healthcare needs one child at a time.
At Kids Creek Children's Clinic, we are proud to offer comprehensive health care that centers on a child’s physical, emotional, and developmental well being. Our compassionate and experienced providers are all Board Certified in the specialty of Pediatrics and serve patients from infancy through early adulthood. Our entire staff welcomes the opportunity to support families as they provide healthy environments in which children can thrive as they grow.
We are pleased to offer families appointments with the provider of their choice.

Accepting New Patients
How it works, step by step.............
- The day before a patient’s appointment, healow CHECK-IN automatically sends a text reminder to the patient’s phone and to the healow app. By clicking the reminder link, patients can confirm their appointment and start the check-in process. There’s no need to make a phone call, wait on hold, or wonder whether the practice has reserved the appointment time.
- During check in, patients review their demographics, confirm their insurance coverage, sign consent forms, fill out questionnaires, and review medications, allergies, hospitalizations, and surgical histories. healow is putting an end to the days of asking patients to fill out lengthy forms by hand — with the potential for errors and the need for staff to then transcribe the information into a computer system.
- Finally, when it’s time for the actual appointment, healow allows the patient to click “I have arrived” on their smartphone, letting the practice know they have arrived at the office, and where and how to find them.

Kids Creek Children's Clinic Scheduling changes during the COVID-19 pandemic
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have altered our scheduling of appointments according to American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines.
The goal is to lessen contact between patients and therefore risk of exposure.
As the incidence of COVID-19 in our area diminishes (thankfully!) we are starting to relax our restrictions on well child visits.
Each well child visit is important - we assess growth, check blood pressure, examine children physically and give vaccines in addition to other important elements.
We will continue to keep our infection control measures in place – scheduling well visits early in the day and sick later, not using our waiting room,
limiting attendance at the appointment to one parent and the patient, and sanitizing our office continuously.
Medication checks, visits for ADHD, and mental health visits may be scheduled as Televisits.
If you do not have access to the internet, we will schedule in-person visits early in the day. Sick visits will be scheduled in the later afternoons only.
Some sick visits may be done via Televisit -- see our website or Facebook for those options (or our front desk staff can guide you).
We ask that all patients wait in your car and call us when you arrive. We will escort you to an exam room as soon as one is available.
Remember that only one parent accompany the patient to their visit, no siblings, other family members or friends.
Our primary focus at Kids Creek Children’s Clinic is the health and safety of your children.
We are currently scheduling well child visits for children of all ages. Call us to schedule at your earliest convenience.
We recommend that you please use scientific resources to seek information regarding COVID-19

Office consent for treatment policy
In order for our clinic to deliver the best quality healthcare to your children under the age of 18, we are implementing a new policy regarding consent and access to care. Please take a moment to read it here.
KINDERGARTEN ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Michigan law amended the Revised School Code (MCL 380.1147), which changed the minimum age requirement for a child enrolling in kindergarten. Currently, a student must be five years old by September 1st to be eligible for enrollment to kindergarten.
Parent Waiver Option
If the child is not eligible for enrollment per the guidelines specified above and will be five years old by December 1st, the child’s parent or legal guardian can apply for a waiver to enroll their student in school. Waiver deadlines and other information are as follows:
When in receipt of a waiver, districts can make recommendations to the child’s parent or legal guardian, as to the child’s readiness for school, and whether or not the child should be enrolled early.
Regardless of a district’s recommendation, the parent or legal guardian retains the sole discretion to enroll their child.
For additional information, please contact your local school district.
